What size grease trap do I need?

Small

Small

Small users such as households and sandwich bars will use traps rated at 1.5lt per second.

Medium

Medium

Medium-sized restaurants and food production lines often use traps rated at 4.5lt per second.

Large

Large

Food courts, dairy farms, cheese factories, etc., will use a trap rated at 11lt per second.

How do grease traps work?

Grease traps should be maintained and cleaned regularly.

Grease traps have 3 chambers.

Effluent flows into the first chamber and small solids are caught in a perforated basket.

In the second chamber, the liquid is slowed down and the oil floats to the top. Microorganisms degrade the floating scum. Only if a dosing system is installed.

The third chamber is narrow and allows for visual inspection.
